A Shot Indicating Resetting Trigger or SIRT pistol is a useful training tool in improving defensive shooting and marksmanship.
The SIRT 110 training pistol is a dedicated laser training device which mimics a full-size Glock. It provides an auto-resetting, fully adjustable trigger, a trigger take-up and a shot indicating lasers, and a removable and weighted training magazine.
What you will learn in our SIRT Pistol Dry-Fire Training Course:
Prerequisite: None, but recommend taking the NRA New Shooter Guide Webinar
This course you will get hands on training using one of our SIRT pistols. We will teach basic handling of a firearm with no live ammo, or live guns. All training will be with a SIRT pistol.
This course is great for someone that is nerves handling a firearm and would like to get used to holding something similar before jumping to a real gun.
We will teach trigger control from a shooting table with a pistol rest all the way up to a standing position.
You will also get a book by the NRA we use and teach in our Basics of Pistol Shooting. You will be able to take the book home and read it while learning more basics of pistols. Once you're ready you can take our first live-fire course NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting.
USCCA Mini Course Defensive Shooting Fundamentals
What comes with this course:
1 Day Course
There will be NO live-fire at a range.
We highly recommend taking this course first to get used to handling a SIRT pistol first before picking up a live firearm.
If more training or time is need a one on one class can be setup, or you can retake this course.
This video discusses the SIRT Training Pistol and introduces the SIRT by the founder of NextLevel Training and inventor of the SIRT, Mike Hughes. Mike was a finalist on History Channel's Top Shot season 3 and began his shooting career needing a high-volume self diagnostic tool. He created the SIRT for himself and the device turned into a start up company now having tens of thousands of SIRTs in the marketplace addressing the void for a dry fire tool that is safe, practical and effective. Mike discusses the different models and some very basic principles of self-diagnostic training, the hallmark in motor neuron learning.
