Idaho Defense Systems only passes students that agree they have learned what the course has taught. This doesn't mean you will be a marksman, or by the end of the course you will be able to recite everything you were taught in class or know everything about a firearm.
The course work we offer will aid you in becoming a better shooter, firearms owner, and become more confident with everyday carry.
As the course is in progress we will ask for any questions to help eliminate the chance of a student falling behind. We may even recommend other courses to take to help improve what the student lacks.
You will not be able to take in all the information during the class. We will be providing books, paperwork, and you will be taking notes as the lecture is going. These items go with you to continue to aid you when you get home and on a range to self-teach yourself. Each of our courses are broken into sections growing you slowly. As you feel confident you take the next course and then next course, etc. You will not learn everything in a 1, 2, or even a 3 day course.
Students will typically see an improvement as they practice at least twice a month with their firearm using safe firearm practices.
Some students may not pass a course. They may need more individual one on one training. After taking more training the student can retake the course for an additional cost.
Some students may even want to or need to take the same course over a few times to feel confident that they understand what was taught in a course.
