Diagnostic Targets and Shooting Targets

Diagnostic Targets

Diagnostic Targets are great at helping you see what you may be doing wrong when you pull the trigger and the bullet hits somewhere you were not aiming. Typically for a right-handed shooter to the lower left and a left-handed shooter the lower right.

Paper Shooting Targets

Paper Shooting Targets are the most common targets for indoor ranges.

Steel Shooting Targets

Steel Shooting Targets are common for someone that goes out on open land and does not want to be replacing paper targets. 


Advantages of steel; you hear the bullet hitting the steel target, you can paint the steel target after you use them, you see the grouping and where the bullets are hitting a little easier than a paper target.


The disadvantages; are the splatter of the bullet, ricochet, and the cost of a good steel typically AR500 steel targets. Depending on your firearm caliber the steel must be placed at a minimum distance, the steel many not even be able to handle your firearm caliber. Much care must be taken on following the manufactures recommendation. These are some of the disadvantages.
